🇬🇧 MAIN SQUARE (Valladolid)

In the photograph, there’s the Tiovivo 1900 carousel, a Christmas classic in Valladolid, set up in the Plaza Mayor of Valladolid -Main Square-, in front of the Town Hall. This area of the city becomes the center of activity during the Christmas season, hosting not only the carousel but also an arts and craft market, a large wishing tree, the royal postman, and various festive events.
The origins of the Carruseles Ortega company date back to 1932 when Luis Ortega imported the so-called «horse carousels» from the United States. Descendant from those early amusement devices for children, the current Tiovivo 1900, a two-story carousel equipped with modern retro-style attractions, has taken over one of the most sought-after corners of the Plaza Mayor for children’s entertainment for the past twenty years.
